Description
For experienced printmakers, or those looking to dive head-first into photographic process screen printing, this course will expand your language of screen printing to include digitally-created and hand-built stencils for edition (multiple identical copies) printing on paper. Expect to learn a bit about Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, a multitude of techniques for hand-making stencils and all the skills needed to print fine art screen print editions. Beginners encouraged, some experience suggested!
A material fee of $40 will cover all materials, tools and supplies for this workshop. Please bring $40 payable to the instructor for supplies, as well as a pad of Canson XL Watercolor Paper 9x12”, a notebook/sketchbook for taking notes, a newsprint pad for transporting prints, two black oil-based Sharpie paint markers (fine and extra fine), a roll of paper towels and a smock/apron; artists may also choose to supply a variety of additional materials after observing the demonstrations.
