This 8 week Chinese Brush Painting class is open to all skill levels, including both new and returning students. The class theme will focus on landscape (mountain-and-water). The basic techniques will be covered in each session: proper brush handling, different brush strokes, ink and color mixing, and use of different rice papers. Students will be encouraged to complete their own individual paintings under her guidance.

Materials: Please bring $20 in cash for the instructor for materials. The instructor will provide all brushes, inks, papers and other supplies in order to make this class more affordable and convenient for beginner students. 

About the Instructor: Jennifer Yuan is a Chinese brush painting and calligraphy artist. She was born and grew up in Shanghai China, and lived in Philadelphia suburb for over twenty years. She currently lives in Princeton, NJ. Nature is her favorite theme. She has painted a variety of subjects including peony, bamboo, plum blossom, fish, tree, mountain and water.
