In this one morning camp, students will learn about the art and social justice movements, create their own sketches and express their ideas in a natural way. creating protest art that will connect them with their community and finding their leaders and activism self through art.
Social Distancing & Mask Use:
For in-person camps we will be limiting camp size to 6 children per classroom, following social distance guidelines within the classroom, doing temperature checks upon entry, as well as sanitizing frequently. Children are required to wear a mask inside (we will go outside for snack). Classrooms are set up with 6 stations, each one at least 6 feet apart. This class will be taught using social distancing measures. Students will be asked to wear masks and stay at least 6 feet apart from the instructor and other students. The Arts Council will be following current standards, including temperature checks upon entry to the building. Supplies will not be shared, and class size will be limited. Children who show any COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter the building. Please note – if your child is unable to follow social distancing requirements, we may have to ask them to leave the camp, as it endangers other campers, staff and faculty.
WHAT TO BRING
Snacks and beverages are not included. Please send your camper with a mid-morning snack, beverage/water bottle, with a box or bag to bring projects home in, with their own mask, and dressed in clothes that can get messy. Please note that we do not have on-site refrigeration. We recommend not sending any valuable items to camp as they can get lost. When possible, please label items with a child’s name. Campers will be required to wear masks when entering the building and when walking through hallways.
Allergies: Due to many campers having nut allergies, we ask that you do not pack any food items with nuts or nut products in them.
Please make sure to fill out the emergency form below if you haven’t already – here: emergency/medical form. The emergency/medical form must be completed and returned to ACP. Emergency forms must be received before your child can start camp. Please return these forms in a timely manner as we need to process each camper’s information.
The Arts Council of Princeton uses photographic and video images (without student names or identifiers) of classes, workshops, camps and events in various publications ranging from our website and newspaper articles to grant applications and annual reports. It is a vital way for us to convey the importance of our work in the community. If you do not want your child’s photo used by the Arts Council of Princeton, you must notify us in writing (by email to email@example.com) prior to attending the program.
