Be inspired by Morven Museum & Garden, a national Historic Landmark, and its exhibitions to design a museum of your own. Create your mission statement, decide on your museum’s purpose, and design its galleries to your liking. This week of camp includes inspiration from the “Justice Bell,” a bronze replica of the Liberty Bell that a leader of the woman suffrage movement, Katherine Wentworth Ruschenberger (1853-1943), commissioned at her own expense in support of granting women full voting rights. The year 2020 celebrates the United States 100th anniversary of the women’s right to vote. In this election year, learn how women were able to get their right to vote! Young curators will be encouraged to answer the following questions upon constructing their mixed media museums: How will your museum impact others and inspire change? How will your museum be a product of change?
Please note: no aftercare provided for this full day camp. Students must be dropped off and picked up from Morven Museum & Garden, located at 55 Stockton St, Princeton, NJ 08540
