Cancelled: Writing Fiction from the Heart

Cancelled: Writing Fiction from the Heart
Writing Fiction from the Heart
This 8-week writing course will employ a nurturing critique group format, to help attendees develop stories inspired by their own experiences. The instructor’s picture book I Am a Thief! was inspired by her theft of a magnet when she was a young child. It is a funny, heartfelt story about facing down shame to make right your mistakes. What past experiences can you draw from to make your fiction resonate with readers young and old? Open to writers of all levels.

About the Instructor:
ABIGAIL RAYNER grew up mostly in England with a couple of years in Greece thrown in. She moved to New York City in her twenties where she worked as a reporter for British newspapers. Abigail is the author of The Back Up Bunny (NorthSouth Books, Mar, 2018) and I Am a Thief! (NorthSouth Books, Sep 2019). She now lives in New Jersey, with her husband, two kids, one cat, and two puppies who steal everything.
