Luminaria & Ornament Workshop

Luminaria & Ornament Workshop

With the dimming light of winter months soon upon us, fight back a bit of the chill with your very own ceramic luminaria. These luminaria can be placed on your porch, on a table or windowsill and will soon become a treasured heirloom. Made by joining clay slabs with scoring and slip, students will use a provided pattern for the structure but can cut out any desired shape for the light designs.

After building your luminaria, use your leftover clay to create free-form holiday ornaments. All materials provided and includes firing. Post-workshop, students will recieve an email on when they can pick up their fired work at the Arts Council.

Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. A separate registration is required for any child and their accompanying adult.

This class will be taught using social distancing measures. Students will be asked to stay at least 6 feet apart from the instructor and other students at all times. Class size will be limited, masks worn, and temperature checks will be taken at the front door. Any questions or concerns, please email education@artscouncilofprinceton.org
